Woland was born in Rome in 1975. After contributing for a few years shooting portraits for men's luxury publishings in Italy, from 2006 he turned to fashion and advertising photography.

Either the virtually endless storytelling possibilities inherent in the dream brought to life by fashion and the experimental visual freedom that the fashion photographic medium allows, together with a strong highlight on aesthetic values such as elegance and beauty, that played a great role in his early artistic education, were decisive in the choice.

During these years, as a fashion photographer and creative director, Woland has been travelling around Europe, producing a vast array of fashion editorials and advertising campaigns commissioned by several international magazines and fashion brands. His studio is in London.
